This online OHS course outlines the general rights and responsibilities of employers and employees, as well as those related to workplace hygiene. With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the impending return of employees to the workplace, employers have a duty to protect their employees and avoid putting their health and safety at risk. The Act Respecting Occupational Health and Safety and the Labour Code set out the responsibilities of employers and workers. Certain rights, such as the right to refuse unsafe work, are particularly relevant during the pandemic.

This online health and safety course presents the various responsibilities of employers and employees under the Act Respecting Occupational Health and Safety (AROHS) and the Canada Labour Code. The consequences for employers will also be presented in detail, as will aggravating or mitigating factors that may affect the penalty imposed.
