Since 2004, new sections have been added to the Act Respecting Labour Standards (Q.L.R., c. N-1.1) regarding psychological harassment and providing for an employee’s right to a harassment-free workplace.
The online training “Prevent psychological and sexual harassment” allows managers to learn about the various provincial laws that have been put in place to protect workers. It also presents the obligations of the employer and the administrative measures to take if situations of harassment are reported.
This health and safety course also provides guidelines for implementing a corporate anti-harassment policy. It details the elements that must be included, such as the policy statement, the scope, and the roles and responsibilities of each individual, to name a few. Following this course, managers will also be familiar with the corrective measures to take if harassment is reported.
Developed in collaboration with renowned labour lawyers from Fasken Martineau, this e-learning course has been developed based on provincial legislation.
