The online training âUnderstanding psychological and sexual harassmentâ allows workers to understand, recognize and identify the various forms of harassment that may occur in the workplace.
â
Developed in collaboration with renowned labour lawyers from Fasken Martineau, this e-learning course has been developed based on provincial legislation.
â
Harassment is defined as vexatious conduct in the form of repeated hostile or unwanted behaviours, comments, actions or gestures that affect an employeeâs dignity or psychological or physical well-being and result in a harmful work environment for the employee.
â
The course provides a deeper understanding of the different forms of harassment that may occur in the workplace and demystifies the different actions that may lead to harassment, such as sexual harassment, discriminatory harassment and abuse of authority. It also introduces important concepts for assessing an abusive situation, such as the repetition of vexatious conduct and the severity of the actions. Case studies are used to provide concrete examples of situations that may or may not constitute vexatious conduct.
