Description of the training WHMIS 2015

Description of the training

On June 3, 2015, the Government of Quebec passed Bill 43 to incorporate the international concepts of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) into the current WHMIS, thereby amending Quebec’s Hazardous Products Information Regulations. In Canada, the disclosure of product hazard information and worker training is governed by WHMIS.

Now that WHMIS 2015 has been implemented, your company could receive a hazardous product with a label that complies with this new regulation at any time. This online OHS course introduces the new provisions and features of these regulations and describes how to apply them in the workplace to reduce the risk of accidents.

This online WHMIS course outlines the responsibilities of employers and employees regarding handling hazardous products and products that are excluded from this classification.

After completing this online course, participants will be able to read and understand the Safety Data Sheets for WHMIS products and properly handle, move and store hazardous materials. Participants will also be introduced to the different types of labels on these products: supplier labels and employer labels.
