On June 3, 2015, the Quebec government adopted Bill 43 to integrate international Harmonized Management System (GHS) concepts into the current WHMIS, thereby amending the Quebec Hazardous Products Information Regulation. In Canada, the disclosure of product hazard information and worker training are governed by WHMIS.
Since WHMIS 2015 came into effect, your company could receive a hazardous product with a label that complies with this new regulation at any time. This online OHS training presents the new provisions and features of this regulation as well as how to use it in the workplace to reduce the risk of accidents.
This WHMIS online training presents the obligations that employers and workers must respect when handling hazardous products, but also the products that are excluded from this classification.
Following this online course, the learner will be able to read and understand the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) available on WHMIS products and to properly handle, move and store these hazardous materials. The learner will also be introduced to the different types of labels available on these products, i.e., the supplier label and the employer label.
This training is a slightly shorter version than the standard WHMIS 2015.
